Recently I came across this contest, "Feedback for Favorites" [link]
and I thought to myself--what a great way to motivate deviants to leave feedback on deviations. As a rule I always TRY to leave comments on works I've added to my collection of favorites. Although views and faves are always appreciated by most, it is the comments, feedback, and critiques, that truly help the artist grow in their artistic abilities and pursuits as well as inspiring their desires!
Now here is a contest to reward one for doing exactly that! Once again the official contest can be found here: [link]
Below I have included some that I've recently commented or critiqued. I wanted to include some works that had very little comments or feedback, that deserve much more love and attention.
If you like them as well, please visit their deviations and/or gallery and leave them some feedback and love.
Also please add this journal to your favorites for more exposure and to hopefully get more deviants involved in this great cause.
Blue He measured the nights and recorded time under his sleepless eyes
Thoughts may have sculpted the moon.
Her cerulean heights, cloudless skies,
Daydreams and dark Inkstains bled through the atmosphere.
Sinking into the deep opaque and falling, one perfect drop at a time
Essence quietly undone by the ocean inside.
Dark lashes framing celestial eyes, stained-glass with stars inside
Windows to a quiet, soft-toned velvet soul.
Like a song forgotten until it's keys are moved,
All wrapped quietly in the shades of endlessly deepening blue.
Mermaid's DreamSwimming in an endless sea,
Living under the water so free,
Light above, Darkness below,
Where it started, no one knows.
Searching as I transcend,
Willing to comprehend,
What more could there be,
Other than the endless sea.
Is there another world above?
It's inhabitants able to love?
What would I give,
To find a way to live,
Out of the sea,
If only it could be.
I know not of that world,
Its stories untold,
beckoning me closer,
Like a song from it's composer.
Do I stay or do I swim?
Lose some scales and gain more skin?
Should I leave what I know behind,
And seek out a brighter sky?
Inspired by Yeats. The grip of reality released in revelry,
Cold slipped from out the hands,
From dusk to darkness the revelry
Fervently heated my frost-kissed hands.
I warmed them against yours in embers of dusk,
And was burning long after you had left,
Seared my soul and sealed my lips in dusk,
But now, I have nothing but lonely love left.
Hope everyone enjoyed this feature...Now Go Give Some LOVE!!!
